Submittal process for August 2008 is open--beginning April 24, 2008.
If you intend to finish your thesis and clear early to avoid registering for Summer 2008 semester, you will need to submit by May 9 and clear by May 30. Call us if you have questions about this.
Each master's thesis option and doctoral candidate must prepare an electronic thesis, dissertation or record of study (ETD). As part of the Office of Graduate Studies, the Thesis Office is available to help you through this process. We provide advice and handouts during the writing process.
We publish the Thesis Manual, which includes rules for format. We also hold an extensive pre-submittal review as you prepare to defend and format the final version. After the manuscript is submitted electronically, we review your document for university formatting standards.
This scheduled meeting lasts approximately one hour and is held within one week of the final defense. Bring your manuscript in a final form printed out along with a sample journal article. We review, comment, and answer questions on the style and format.
At this conference, we acquaint you with the final submittal and review process and explain the required forms. The conference is not required, but is strongly recommended. An appointment is needed. Please call 979-845-2225 as soon as you have scheduled your defense.
Deadline Day for August 2008 graduates is June 20, 2008. This is the final day a thesis, dissertation or record of study can be submitted for review for graduation in the semester. Plan ahead for this date; it is an absolute deadline. There are no extensions or exceptions to this date.
